3-16-08
Greetings to all. The start of
2008 has proved to be
exciting, productive, and successful
for Cottonwood.
I'll explain. Our indoor winter
league has gone very well
as far as numbers of participation,
from setup/teardown,
and those shooting the league. Since
the start of the new
year we have gained 10 new members
because of the
attraction that indoor 3D league
provides. League will end
on 3-26-08.
March 2nd we held our second
Indoor Winter 3d tourna
ment at the YMCA. We hosted 75
shooters for the day.
We are drawing folks from as far
away as Huchinson, Ks.,
and Lincoln for this event. We must
be doing something
right here. We also had five
sponsors donate money to
help provide shirts to be sold at
the tournament. They
are Countryman Solutions Group,
Vaughans Printers,
Gary's Quality Automotive, Samuelson
Equip., and Split
Arrow Archery. A Big Thank You!!!
Soon we will be getting ready for
our outdoor 3D
season. We need members to adopt a
target butt at the
outdoor range. This means you pick
one, are responsible
for the upkeep of the butt, and the
immediate area
around the target. Work day is
3/29/08 @ 9am. Get
ahold of Marty Hug to adopt a
target. Our outdoor dates
are June 1st, July 20th is our Quad,
and Aug 10th.
