Club News March, 2010
Greetings
to all my arrow flingin friends. Hope this finds
you all
well.Cottonwoods Indoor 3D League is down to the
final few weeks,
and then we can put the broadheads
back on and get
out and test our skills on those sneaky
longbeards. I,
like most of you can't wait to get after em.
Speaking
of Indoor League, it's been another great year
for our club.The
first couple weeks the numbers were a bit
light, but from
then on we have averaged around thirty
three shooters
per week. Note, that not all are competing in
the league, and
a few are non-members. But they are 100
percent hooked
because they keep showing up every week.
How cool is that? Since Jan. we have had nine
new
members join
because of the impact of our league. Two
are family, one
youth, six singles, and twentythree re-
newals. For all
new members, make note that our clubs
website is
www.cottonwoodarcheryclub.com
. This is your
info hub for all
things Cottonwood.
March 14th
is our Indoor 3D Winter Tournament. We will
be setting up
sat. the 13th at 5pm at the Hastings YMCA.
If you are able,
please come and lend a hand. We need
you there. This
will be the fourth time for this event in as
many years, and
it just keeps getting bigger and better
every year.
Let's make this the best so far.
Treasurer
reports a balance of $6431.18 in the clubs
account. In Feb.
2010 we paid out $1087.68 for club insu-
rance, $301. for
rent to the YMCA. All of the replacement
mids have
arrived with four new full targets. We will need
to
pay for those
soon as we get the bill. Also awards for the
14th shoot and
League will need to be paid for. We should
still be in good
shape financially going into April. That's
about it for
now. Shoot straight. (Kevin Douglas).
